Dhaka-- (UNB) – Governor of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Hiroshi Yasuda yesterday assured continued support of the bank for economic development in Bangladesh.

“JBIC will continue to support Bangladesh’s efforts for economic development in the future,” he told BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia when they had a meeting at Zia International Airport this morning.

They discussed issues of mutual interests including Japan-Bangladesh economic cooperation.

Begum Zia praised JBIC’s role in providing economic cooperation to Bangladesh.

BNP secretary general Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan and vice-president Prof Jahanara Begum were present during the meeting, said a press release.
